You may want to watch what you look at when your looking at your emails. Alot of it will be trying the phish for your personal information such as credit card details amung other things. If there is an email claiming to be your bank stop and think. Why would they ask you for your name ? contact details and information on your bank account when they should have it all on the system anyway ? If they wanted to contact you either by phone or by post is the most likely and emails like the one above should be disreguarded as someone trying to get personal info and use your bank account.
There are also to good to be true emails sent, the ones that say they will give you alot of money if you give them your details. If its to good to be true then its really a scam !

Personal details and the internet
Its not a good idea to give away personal details on the internet unless you trust the website aswell as 2 indicators that its safe to do so.
Padlock on the bottom of the browser
https in the url
These show the website has some encription making sure your details aren't made public to hackers.
Why do you want you details kept safe ? Simple answer is peoples identitys can be stolen which can include creditcard details, passwords, accounts and such.Would you like someone you don't know spending your money or doing things with your accounts ?

Introduction to one of the biggest security risks.
The average user is probably one of the biggest threats to a computer out there without knowledge of using anti virus, firewall and other things to protect it the computer itself is very wide open.
I will be looking at how they can be a risk and what they can do to protect their computer as well as making simple things to raise awareness on the topic of interweb security.
Is the router open and free to use by anyone ?
Do you have anti virus, firewalls and anti spyware installed ?
Are they set up correctly ?
Do you keep your browser up to date with the latest version ?
Are you mindful of what links you click ?
Do you watch what emails you view ?
Do you give out personal details without checking if its safe to do so ?
These are some of the questions I will post on in this report.

Proxy Servers
Two minutes of talking about Proxy Servers eh ? This will take awhile. So hello class of about 6 peoples my name is ... well you should know it by now if not then you just made me sad. Proxy Servers are ... err umm eee (can you see I am stalling for time ?) is well a server that goes between computers that filters out certain things.
Anonymous Proxy Servers - Filters out your own IP address and replaces it with a substitute one. This lets you look on the internet without your IP being sent out. As a slight downside it will take longer to load a page since your will be going from computer > server > computer over computer > computer.
(Add ... More ... Things ...)
